Wednesday November 06 2013: Sulphur Ranger District is planning to continue burning slash piles created by a fuels reduction project on Tunnel Hillin Winter Park today. Ignition is expected to take place around 10 a.m. A recreation closure will be in effect from Little Vasquez Road east to the railroad tracks. There is currently between 3-7 inches of snow on the ground in this location. Wind fuel moisture and snow cover all play a factor in where and whether ignition occurs.
