U.S. Forest Service firefighters completed the last of the pile burning on Tunnel Hill Thursday, Nov. 19, bringing to an end this fuels reduction project which took four years to complete from start to finish. Nearly 20,000 piles were burned in less than 10 burn days per year over a 3-year period.
